Key features and benefits of the LM5164
Shrinking board space: The new device's thermal efficiency, small form factor integrated circuit (SOIC) PowerPADTM package size is 5 mm x 6 mm, which is 30% smaller than competing products. Designers can use the LM5164 to create a complete 105 mm2 power supply design that is 10% smaller than competing products.
High light load efficiency: The Lm5164 provides a very low 10-μA typical standby quiescent current. This achieves 10% light load efficiency compared to competing solutions, enabling 24 V to 5 V conversion at 1-mA load and extending battery life.
Simple, economical design: a standard 8-pin SOIC package with a small number of external components and WEBENCH® Power Designer simplifies design and reduces cost.
